The Life and Times of.......

Howdy!

Welcome to my website.  Here you will find information about....well about me.

You will find all sorts of stuff here from stories about me, photos of me and you'll also be able to spend some money.  How good is that?  If you don't already know me then you'll soon find out about my journey through cancer treatment and how my life has changed since.

I was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer in 2008, since then I have campaigned to spread awareness of Cervical Cancer and spend a lot of my time helping charities with the work that they do.

Join The Mad Hatter's Walk!

On 7th June 2009 I will be taking part in the Mad Hatter's Walk.  I am hoping to get as many people to join me as possible or just take part yourselves perhaps with your friends and family.  I have also been asked to take part in the judging of the hat competition which is an amazing honour (although it means I can't win myself).  Please contact me if you'd like to join my friends and I, or visit www.macmillan.org.uk for more information on joining.

It should be a fantastic day, lots of fun and all for a good cause.  Nearer the time I will be organising a day for us to get together and make some hats for the walk.

All are welcome and all you need to bring are comfortable shoes and a MAD HAT.

I look forward to seeing you all there!!

Jo's Trust

Jo's Trust Fighting Cervical Cancer is a registered charity dedicated to women, their families and friends affected by pre-cancer and cancer of the cervix.

I can't put into words how invaluable the support I receive from the ladies on Jo's Trust is.  It is a small charity that needs as much help as possible to spread awareness, education and support to all those affected by cervical cancer.

Woman should have a smear test at least every three years. Having a smear test regularly can save your life as early detection and treatment of cervical cell abnormalities has proven to be very successful in preventing the development of cervical cancer.

Macmillan

I volunteer for Macmillan Cancer Support to help raise funds. Without donations Macmillan would not be able to help all those that it does.  I take part and help organise events.  Please keep checking back to this site to see when the next event is that you can take part in.  Or contact me for more information.
